Nowra Meet - August 2026

A group of enthusiastic Canberran’s (and one from Goulburn) headed to Nowra for a couple of days of climbing on the weekend of 15-16 of August 2026. Initially 2 days of climbing was planned at Tianjara and the Lair, but as the rain descended on us on Sunday morning we decided to call the second day at the Lair off.  We still had a great day on Saturday at Tianjara with lots of climbing in great conditions.

As a crew we managed to tick and re-tick a huge list of climbing including

After a huge day sending, we broke up into different groups where some of us headed into Nowra for accommodation with all the modern conveniences we love, while a few others of us decided to risk the weather and camp out of town. They were treated to a great night by the fire, catching up with old friends and making new ones.

 

The next day the weather wasn't good enough for the Lair so the rest of the trip was cancelled, but that didn't stop some dedicated individuals heading into Nowra proper to find some protected caves to climb in. All in all, a great weekend was had by all.
