Canberra Climbers’ Association
SUPPORTING CLIMBERS' INTEREST IN THE ACT REGION
The Canberra Climbers’ Association (CCA) represents climbers’ interests in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), across all types of rock climbing. The CCA spends considerable behind-the-scenes time and effort managing access for the climbing community, to the ACT climbing areas. Access is not a right and cannot be taken for granted.
The ACT and its surrounding region provides many opportunities for rock climbing, including sports and traditional rock climbing, aid climbing, mountaineering and bouldering, on a variety of different rock types. As well as managing access to the ACT climbing areas, the CCA fosters community by running numerous climbing-related events throughout each year, and providing detailed climbing routes and guides for our local climbing areas.

Routes & Guides
The ACT has some of the best granite climbing in Australia. Rhyolite, limestone and sandstone crags are also nearby.
Much of the climbing is traditional and requires natural protection, however there is also plenty of sport climbing and some of the best granite bouldering in the country with heaps of potential for further development.
