The Canberra Climbers’ Association (CCA) represents climbers’ interests in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), across all types of rock climbing.
The ACT and its surrounding region provides many opportunities for rock climbing, including sports and traditional rock climbing, aid climbing, mountaineering and bouldering, on a variety of different rock types.
The ACT has some of the best granite climbing in Australia. Rhyolite, limestone and sandstone crags are also nearby.
Much of the climbing is traditional and requires natural protection, however there is also plenty of sport climbing to be enjoyed as well as some difficult aid routes.
CCA members receive a membership card that entitles them to atend CCA outdoor climbing events and instructional activities, and access generous retail discounts and discounted entry to local climbing facilities.
Membership fees go towards maintaining climbing areas around Canberra.
